Job Requirements:


Associate's degree/equivalent in technical training. Five (5) years
experience in preventative maintenance operations on
automotive-related equipment. Knowledge of
trouble-shooting/diagnosing automotive problems. Strong basic
management, human relations and communications skills. Ability to
travel two to three night per week. Valid vehicle driver's license
from the state of residency.



Duties:


Selects, trains, develops, and motivates a staff of 1-25 mechanics.
Assists in the administration of an operating budget of approximately
$1MM to $6MM.


Evaluates training requirements and programs for mechanics and
fabricators through in house courses, manufacturers and various
training companies.


Evaluates effectiveness of commercial garage services and implements
improvements or changes as required; inspects the fleet's mechanical
paint and body condition to ensure compliance on a regular basis.


Provides vendors, mechanics, and fabricators with work instructions
of necessary repairs and ensures that the repairs are completed on a
timely basis.


Reviews and approves invoices for maintenance services and supplies;
ensures that vehicle accidents are in the body shop within the
specified time limits and ensures that repairs are completed in a
timely manner.


Holds meetings with stations and hub personnel to familiarize them
with the correct vehicle operations methods and systems as necessary.


Maintains accurate records in accordance with corporate and
regulatory requirements and monitors warranty stipulations so that
all monies to which the company is entitled will be received.


Performs tests on vehicles, gse equipment, components or fuels as
required; acts as liaison between district field and hub management
and vehicle administration.
