OK, a few of us are back on the scrap heap again.

Personally I have 7 years Ops/Crewing/Commercial experience, willing to move anywhere in the UK for work, have applied for all the 'visable' jobs over the last few days, just wondering if anyone knows of anything else that may (or may not) be lurking around !

Qantas Airways has announced that it will be the major investor in a new low cost airline that will soon be flying from Singapore. The new airline will be a key player in the rapidly expanding low cost aviation market throughout Asia.


The Operations Officer role is a specialist role, which sits within the airlines’ Operations Control Centre, reporting to the Operations Manager. The Officer’s role is to coordinate, monitor and manage all aspects of the airlines operation. This includes day to day management of the aircraft schedules as well as aircrew planning, monitoring and record keeping. The prime focus of the role is to ensure that operational integrity is maintained. Attention to detail, customer focus, strong computer skills, multi-tasking capability and an ability to work under pressure are key requirements for this position. Previous airline operational experience is also desirable.
