The Dispatchers Prayer...

Our Dispatcher,
who art everywhere,
hallowed be thy turnaround.
Thy gate staff come, and boarding be done,
on a jetbridge as it via steps.
Give us this day our loading instructions,
and deliver us on time our mail and cargo.
And forgive us for missing our slots,
as we forgive those who arrive late at the gate,
and be thankful for the overtime when thy last flight doth go late
Amen.

...and may our stand be free of FOD,
and thout captain know he's not god.

My brother (or sister if the case may me), thou seems to have omitted those who have been sent to test us at all times - the cleaners, the engineers, the caterers and the the most heathen of all - the ramp staff (or should it the the flight deck crew).

Take it in thy heart that all these should be treated with love and respect (in the most loosest of terms) if you want the next flight you dispatch to depart on time.

All together now - AMEN.

PLEASE LORD LET SOMEONE IN DEPARTURES ANSWER THY CALL AS THY SHOWERING RAIN FALLETH DOWN IN SHEAR ABUNDANCE
AND THY CHOCKS GROWETH INCREASINGLY LIKELY TO CAUSE THOSE WHO REMAINETH IN DEPARTURES EVER MORE CHANCE OF MEETING THEE 'OUR MAKER' SIGNIFICANTLY EARLIER THAN MIGHT OTHERWISE HAVE BEEN THE CASE.
