Flight dispatch training from France

Hello,
I'm a french guy willing to train as flight dispatcher. I'm taking many informations as I've seen that trainings vary from France to US or Canada in the final step, FAA license.
First I wanted to train in France in ENAC or ESMA cause they're very significant from their quality of training. The first one spend like 300 hours of teaching in all fields for an aircraft dispatcher during 11 weeks. The second one is about 360 hours for 12 weeks.
But I've seen that Sheffield school is offering a far more better job opportunities in term of salary and responsibility with their FAA license. But it's made in only 5 weeks and I've no clue of the quality of their training compared to the french one. It seems lighter and I'm considering to do the french one and then convert or up date my skills to pass a FAA examination.
Which choice is best between flight dispatch training in France or in US or even distant learning at Jeppesen academy?

Regards

Hey aligotor,

First of all, welcome to the Family and all the best from here and on bud!

I am new to the environment too, but going through the topics and the comments regarding the Dispatch Training, you would see that most of the experienced guys recommend Sheffield school. Their training may seem to you as not good or comprehensive enough because of its duration, however it is one of the best if not the best in the field. It is very intensive training, not just 9 to 5 classroom studies, from what I got from the other comments. In addition, if you'd like to end up with an FAA Dispatcher License, this is the best option for a Dispatcher Training Course. It would give you the best foundation to start building your career on.

I would suggest go through all the topics where Dispatch Training is discussed here and have a look at what the experienced guys here had to say. I am pretty sure you would find it quite educating and would shed more light on which way to go.

As I said, I am not experienced Flight Dispatcher, but what I have learnt from the comments here is of a big value and hopefully it would help you.

All the best,

Peter777X.

I concur with what Peter777X has said about Sheffield for FAA Dispatch training. You mentioned Jeppesen, who also run FAA Dispatch courses in Denver, but also run Dispatch courses out of their Frankfurt office, as well as Dubai and Singapore. Not sure how up to date this is, but might have some helpful information in it.

aligotor,

Should you decide on a US location for training, this website discusses the various US schools extensively. Good luck:
