check hi-speed tape is standard task?
 

Dear,

I have found a aerodynamic seal on wing is broken, document requires apply hi-speed tape. I base on operation may peel off that hi-speed tape, so I stated check hi-speed tape every flight.
My bull**** QC guy ask me the document for reference the task check hi-speed tape condition each flight.:ugh:
I personally think check tape condition is standard practice which can apply for all industries even. The more we think safe, we're gonna make operation safe during maintenance.
Wanna ask people here if my state is wrong or right? Also any guys know document for reference above, please help me to make sure the paperwork is suitable with QC require?

You say a HST repair IAW "A Document" I assume this is either the AMM or the SRM, you don't specify.

In my world if you have done a temporary repair IAW either of these "documents" then :

1. The period before the repair is to be made permenant will be laid down
2. The period of inspection to ensure continued airworthiness will be laid down.

You cannot snatch "After each flight" out of thin air when the inspection interval might be "each daily inspection" "each weekly inspection" etc.
This and the reference is what your QC wants in my opinion.

Your log entry should be along the lines of "Temporary repair to *** iaw SRM 27-##-### inspect each daily inspection. and a deferred defect raised to that effect.
But what do I know I am retired but worked on the other side of the planet.
