Anyone able to provide an up to date listing for LHR?

750XL 12th May 2016 18:12

SAS to Aviator at MAN, from Swissport.

The96er 12th May 2016 19:22

SAS to Aviator at MAN, from Swissport.
Aviator seem to be grabbing as much work as possible at the moment. Could this be the usual "New entrant will to work for free" tactic that has been all to prevalent at MAN over the years.

LandingConfig 12th May 2016 19:23

Menzies are recruiting TCOs at LHR starting at £10.80/hr.

750XL 12th May 2016 21:06

Aviator have been undercutting a fair bit, if the rumours are to be believed.

e195-001 21st May 2016 07:35

anyone know who menzies currently handle at LHR?

Habana2118 31st May 2016 10:05

What about the new Chinese airline operating from LGW, plus CX at LGW ?? Who has these contracts?

strawberry Ribena 1st Jun 2016 09:41

Cathay are going to dnata. And Tianjin are going to airline services

Habana2118 1st Jun 2016 14:26

Thanks for the info :)

strawberry Ribena 12th Sep 2016 00:12

What's happening to Norwegian at lgw? Rumours are they going to become self handling?

The96er 13th Sep 2016 11:46

Norwegian are indeed going self-handling from 1st December.
Does that include Ramp handling too or just above wing ?

Habana2118 13th Sep 2016 13:42

Are we seeing the same old cycle again? One agent has by far the majority of contracts, can't cope then gets in a mess... Just like swissport a couple of yrs ago, having said that still amazes me that the worlds no 1 would pull out of London's second biggest airport!

wools 13th Sep 2016 15:42

You can be No.1 but what is the point if you are loosing money so why stay. Better to use your equipment etc at other locations where returns are better.

strawberry Ribena 13th Sep 2016 22:28

Lgrima im guessing WW and PS are going to Menzies?

The96er 13th Sep 2016 23:50

I believe Norwegian self-handling will be 100% everything. Ramp. belt, gate, etc...
So Norwegian going full handling at LGW, Jet2 going full handling at MAN - Seems that contract handling isn't as great as first thought. Great for the accountants but comes at the result of generally poor service.

Habana2118 16th Sep 2016 20:25

So ASIG being sold to Menzies! Major expansion for LHR and the US plus the refuelling is another string to their bow

cjhants 17th Sep 2016 09:06

Do we know what is happening to Signature?

Habana2118 17th Sep 2016 12:45

Believe it's not part of the deal... Just ASIG

strawberry Ribena 17th Sep 2016 22:06

Asig as a whole? Or just the fuelling side?

Habana2118 18th Sep 2016 11:44

The whole of ASIG, check out the John Menzies website or BBA Aviation (current owner of ASIG) site for the press releases

T250 21st Sep 2016 14:43

Aviator pulling out of BHX and LGW next week?

750XL 21st Sep 2016 17:31

WFS to pull out of MAN at the end of October, Jet2 to go full self handling. TK/SN to move elsewhere.

ASIG bought out by Menzies.

Rumour has it Aviator are filing for bankruptcy?

TK/SN to move elsewhere.
I believe SN/TK went to ASIG at MAN - So presume Menzies by default.

mole man 5th Oct 2016 15:32

Jet2

With Jet2 going to STN who will handle it as all handling agents are at full capacity and cannot recruit fast enough to replace those who are leaving.

Mole man:ok:

barry lloyd 5th Oct 2016 16:38

With Jet2 going to STN who will handle it as all handling agents are at full capacity and cannot recruit fast enough to replace those who are leaving.
Jet2 do self-handling at their other main bases.

Jetaway 5th Oct 2016 18:40

To early to self handle at STN

STN Ramp Rat 5th Oct 2016 20:48

I understand Jet 2 will self handle above wing and dispatch at STN with the ramp contracted out

Jetaway 6th Oct 2016 20:03

Menzies are going for the DY and SK contract plus they will have obtained all the ASIG contracts which is soon to include TK and SN due to WFS leaving MAN

I would highly doubt they would fully self handle above the wing at a brand new base that is too much to put on them in a short space of time.

750XL 7th Oct 2016 09:28

Menzies are going for the DY and SK contract plus they will have obtained all the ASIG contracts which is soon to include TK and SN due to WFS leaving MAN
Given there's now only 3 handling agents at MAN, I'd be surprised if Menzies didn't put in a bid for these two :ok:

I can't see Dnata bidding for either of those contracts, and they have both just recently left Swissport so I'd assume Menzies by default

phil160 7th Oct 2016 19:35

first post here so hello to all

aviator staff have been told they have until the end of the month at man.

there is talk that swissport is looking into both DY and SK at man. they did not leave on bad terms so do not rule it out, but there is also thomas cook to consider. all three would be too much to take on for swissport in one go.

7Three7Specialist 13th Oct 2016 15:26

British Airways going self-handling with IAG at LGW.

Peter47 14th Oct 2016 08:08

Full circle!

7Three7Specialist 14th Oct 2016 08:45

Thomson think is going to Airline Services and Virgin back to Swissport at LGW.

The96er 14th Oct 2016 14:09

British Airways going self-handling with IAG at LGW.
Seems like their hand has been pulled with little other option.

Virgin back to Swissport at LGW.
I thought Swissport had left LGW ?

cjhants 14th Oct 2016 15:33

The 96er

See my comment about the return of Swissport on the Aviator thread from 23.9.16.

phil160 14th Oct 2016 17:41

SN to swissport 1st nov.

CAP A330 16th Oct 2016 19:33

LA compangie suspend LTN flights.

Atlasglobal to return to STN, not sure if that will mean they will move from LTN.
