Maybe a web based system would be of more benefit, such as LEON ??

Leon is another good option..

I think all is depending from the size of the company and the type of operations.

rantax82,

How does the size of the operation matter for BizFlight?

aviation24x7 1st Jan 2012 23:57

Thank you all.

Company has 08 people working as operation team.

We manage client with own aircraft but not sure which software to use to enter trip, airport data, countries CAA information, client information etc.

with Bizflight you can have a nice database for the trip, with full airports data, possibility to set up which Permit you need for each leg, service per leg (Handling, slots, hotels, etc), client info, crew info, flight following, crew rostering...

i was refering to sue of the company and type of ops.
If you want to manage 50 aircraft with ETOPS/EROPS ops and average of 30 legs per day with 1 or 2 permit each leg... well ... you better change software... the time spent to put the service in the legs from one status to another every time you have a change is too much IMHO.

Thanks a lot for your information

And what would you go for? I ask as a user of BizFlight trying to manage 20+ bizjets and finding it quite long-winded, esp. when busy.

Dallas,

So which software you prefer.

We manage small/new commercial and corporate carrier. Most of the flights we do is ferry flights for commercial airlines.

And looking to add trip, services, permits and print brief for crew etc.

We have approx 8 users.

We were using a bespoke piece of software that kept things very simple and easy to track, but for various reasons we had to migrate. IMO BizFlight is needlessly complex for simple tasks (about 8+ clicks to send a handling request) and lacks the overview necessary to watch larger fleets. If you're quiet and have time on your hands waiting for things to happen it'll do, but if you've got lots of plates spinning it won't help. It doesn't work the way you work - you need to work the way it does - PM me if you want more info.

I'm open to ideas on software that will work.
