Crewing officer/ Crewing operator Interview

Hi guys,

Just wondering if anyone can help? I have an interview for a VIP airline as a crewing operator coming up and just wanted to know what to expect in the interview? I guess it will be a long the lines of team exercise and then a 1 to 1 interview. I have been cabin crew for the past 7 years so have a lot of experience in dealing with FTL's , but any hints/tips would be great!

Hi, team based interview's aren't the norm for Crewing roles in my experience. I only know of one low cost operator that uses team based assessments during their recruitment for Crewing personnel - but that's not to say others will not follow.

My last Crewing role was for a Charter company and it was a two on one interview. Its a very customer focuses (the crew being the customer) so examples of when you have provided excellent customer service, how you would handle somebody being unpleasant with you on the telephone, things like that. Prioritizing your workload is very important and is having a good eye for detail as you will have to run numerous reports that determine crew legality and making sure crew compliments are correct.

Your knowledge of FTL should help you. But if you are the right person then they will train you anyway. In the end you will need to know the FTL's but there will always be the guidebook not to far away!.

Always willing to help

I can never understand why some companies insist on things like group interviews where it's often the loudest person that gets noticed and in turn gets the job as the rest can't get a word in edgeways.

When will airlines begin to understand that good Crewing Officers are hard to find and when found should be encouraged to stay with the company in question.

I've immediate short term openings through my company for short term staff supply of Crewing Officers, sadly there aren't too many out there and almost none i can recommend to my client. If there's anyone reading this and wants 2 months work pm me.

Hello, please advise on how to get in on the crewing action. And what is the pay like? Thanks.
