Anybody fancy a free trip to Barcelona with a hotel?
 

Yes it is not a gimmick. I am on a ramp safety crusade and am fed up with the senior executives of the airlines and handling companies almost accepting that ramp accidents and incidents will happen no matter how much money they allocate for training and as such accept a high level at a huge human and financial cost to our industry.
What I am looking for is some real every day feedback that will give these executives a real taste of what it is like to try to work safely on the ramp on a day by day basis.
For the past 13 years I have organised one of the most successful ground handling conferences and this November it will be held in Barcelona where I expect over 500 senior ground handling and airline executives to attend. Safety is the main theme this year.
I would like to hear from anyone who would be prepared to make a presentation (I can assist you with this if needed) that gives the real picture and offers an insight into why there are so many accidents and occurrences of ground damage to aircraft. Yes it means standing up in front of a lot of people but it could make a huge difference to you, your team and all your fellow ramp employees everywhere. My plan B would be to put this on film as an interview or series of interviews that could keep any individual participant anonymous.
