Hi,
sorry could you confirm you would like to have a valid route from LHR to SFO? |
If you have a computerised flight planning system this will produce the ATC portion for you. If you are being asked to do this manually then the best help is this address NAT PCO
On this site the MNPS document has sample flight plans. |
@HHI Ops ..Thats rite Mate
LHR/SFO etd 0100Z SFO/LHR etd 0900Z @Grasscarp ... I can't seem to locate the sample plans website Can you tell me whereabouts Anyone else,if you cud,will mean a great deal if you cud assist me I'm trying to avoid BIRD FIR and possibly Greenland due terrain Tnks Mate OC |

Atc Plan
On the NAT PCO site is access to MNPSA which is the bible on all the requirements. Very last annex 4 has everything required on the plan.
In the body of the flight planning section (4.1) is a link to a site which has this info, plus sample plans. (in the flight planning section) I tried copying the link but when transferred to here it doesnt work. It is a yellow circular UK AIC 55/2003. |
@Grasscarp:That was one useful pointer ...Tnks alot
I really appreciate that I just need a peek how other carriers plan or have a prefered route for this sector especially when NATS tracks are active and conflicting You can PM me the route only ( ie ICAO Item 18 entry ) Tnks OC |
You still need it?
|
Can you use NAT Tracks past a certain time? Westbound or am I right in saying they have to be a random routing? Due eastbound tracks.
|
@HHI OPS --Yes Sir ...Just the routing
for the said departure, AVOIDing Greenland FIR Random routing: ETD LHR 0200Z/SFO ETD SFO 0900Z/LHR @Heathrow Airport If the expired tracks is not conflicting with then active tracks Then expired tracks can be used as random rtng Alternative is to fly random based on shortest dist, fuel or other considerations Usually the great circle is ideal under normal circumstances Random route must also not be conflict with active tracks for the day OC |
