ICAO Flt Pln Item 10: code E and Item 18 PER/ need info...
Hi guys, i've been looking up on the flight plan codes, but cant find these 2 codes and need some clarification.
1) Item 10: equipment code E, does it stand for EGPWS or FMC with DME/DME and Datalink updating?? conflicting sources.... 2) Item 18: PER/D, wat does the D code mean in terms of aircraft performance? cant find any info on this. Hope someone can help wit this... thanks in advance. |

For the performance question in item 18, have found this advice
PER/Aircraft performance data, if so prescribed by the appropriate ATS authority. |
Grasscarp,
Yes, I found those items as well, but need more details on them coz I cant seem to have conflicting sources. E - Decca is for old flt pln as Decca is no longer in service. Also, US AIM states E is for FMC with DME/DME updating, how about for International ICAO? Some sources says E is for EGPWS. As for PER/ need to know what are the details put in after the PER/.... Thanks. |
IFR
Example : Performance Mach .78
PER/M0.78 Where did u find "PER/D" ? |
PER/D was from a 747 flt plan. was wondering was the D was, thinking probably Aircraft Category D? Quite interesting though... maybe the differences based on where the aircraft flies to?

Jeppesen ATC Page AU-615 Item 18(b): PER/ to indicate aircraft performance as described in TERMINAL, INSTRUMENT APPROACH/TAKEOFF PROCEDURES, paragraph 2.1; e.g., PER/B. IFR aircraft arriving at a controlled aerodrome must insert their performance category. |
NZScion
Hi !
Item 18. PER/ As Grasscarp (post 3 ) says ....if so prescribed by apprporiate ATS authority. Looks like OZ are prescribers but never encountered it elsewhere. See ICAO DOC 4444 Item 10 E - not allocated according to ICAO DOC 4444 . However, my DOC may not be current ........ G'Day |
thanks guys....
its probably for australia operations... anyways, still trying to figure out the E also.. hehehe... thanks again. |
E is deffinatly unassigned at this time.
My flightplanning system uses PER/ for the cruise mach number, eg PER/M078 for .78 Mach, however I have never seen this a a requirement for field 18 outside of Australia. Cheers |
