PSA diploma

Hello all

A friend of mine is considering a career in the aviation industry (lamb to the slaughter and all that ;)) and she is interested in a job at the check-in desks.

There is something called a PSA diploma which is apparently backed by some major airlines including Emirates. Is this a well known course? Is it a necessary requirement or worth having?

Any advice much appreciated

Thanks in advance

I'm also trying to find out if this course is worth it?

My wife went straight in to a PSA job with no specific experience. They are looking for just basic maths and english comprehension plus a dose of common sense and ability to deal with people.

You then go on a temp contract and get kept on if you are any good it seems.

Dont know anything about the course but I wouldnt bother given the above....
