Don't bother with Jepps they use Celta as well

merlinxx 11th Oct 2007 13:24

Celta

'BE', why not, it was JeppUK that brought Celta into the broader global network, I know I did it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nothing to do with JeppUK or CELTA

acmi48 11th Oct 2007 20:12

Re your Request for Angola

We always used CELTA

First started Overflying Angola 1995 and use CELTA Never any trouble whatsoever they are nice to people to deal with .

We one diverted to Luanda en route to Lanseria and thougth we would have untold problems..

One call to CELTA and they were there to meet the Aircraft with a Fuel truck.

Crew Never left the A/C The only delay was the time it took to put the fuel in .

All Charges paid for by CELTA including fuel

Chox on 2 Chox off 25 mins (Beat that if u can in Africa)

Nothbound from S A if winds were not favrorable we used to Plan Luanda as it was so easy Day or Night they would be there awaiting your arrival and it saved you diverting further on the Flight

Regards

Gerry (Ex Northern Exec at Manchester)

NO I am not Celta s Rep in the UK

Angola

Celta are the best.

I am sure that the likes of Jepps, Jetex, Hadid - all go through them and you pay the extra 5% ontop.

Never ever had a problem with Celta, permit or invoice.

merlinxx 2nd Feb 2010 12:41

HADID

Quite Agree!!!:ok:

They have got very greedy and very expensive.

I have been in the business since 1985.

I know when a 72 hour leeway MEANS +72 hours.

Fed up with "ammended" permits and "bank commisions":{

Astra Aviation Services also have an office in LAD and can provide permits and flight supervision. Also have offices in Nigeria, Rwanda, Mauritius and Zambia from April. www.astra-aviation.com or

do you think that British brokers are better...
:=

merlinxx 16th Mar 2010 06:48

FlyEx check yr PMs :ok:

jerry_viscontelli 16th Mar 2010 16:32

i think that those brokers are let us say a big rip of like jeppesen or UAS or Jetex for those kind of African countries, are you so sure they will pay the navigatin fees on time? paying an extra of 10% of the amount you have to pay for theird party invoices? what a joke!
For me i took the liberty to buy the databse from econflights and it proved to be better than the rest, if you want to learn also about how to get a permission from a to z then all it's written there!
i've entered UAS & Jeppesen UK and one thing i will tell you, they DO NOT HAVE QUALIFIED PERSONNEL, if you do not believe me just go there for visit and see exactly who is doing the request for you!
just go and see the site i told you about and it will blow your mind away!

What will the procedure to get overfly & landing permits for Angola.

dc9-32 21st May 2012 11:05

Read the replies my friend or PM me for help.

acmi48 24th May 2012 20:14

Remember, your company compliance officer will question , " why is a service provided in Angola, paid to a bank account in Dubai or Lisbon "..standard good compliance is to pay for service in the country of service, " otherwise corruptive practice rears its head !

Avoid Celta

They are a mess, and not taking responsibility for failures.

Also, getting funds returned (after they failed to supply pre-paid fuel, costing us over USD20K extra) is proving extremely difficult.

Avoid.

Sam Rutherford 29th Apr 2013 08:20

Avoid Celta - not honest.

They'll take your money, fail to supply anything, then refuse to refund.

Crooks!

Fly safe, Sam.

His dudeness 29th Apr 2013 11:28

Was using CELTA in January and they would not call the fuel truck as that was arranged with Bestfly. They wanted to sell "their" fuel - out of the Bestfly truck.

Next time we will use Bestfly.

Clearances though worked.

PavoAfghanistan 5th May 2013 16:04

I heard SBMAN is good, Africa open sky another option, uas, palm, jetex, hadid too, whoever you feel comfortable :)
