WITH ALL THE RECENT LAY OFFS WITHIN THE INDUSTRY, I AM CURIOUS TO KNOW EXACTLY HOW MANY OPERATIONS STAFF HAVE BEEN AFFECTED BY THE AXE AND ARE CONSEQUENTLY SAT AT HOME WATCHING MORNING TELEVISION.

I was a BA Load Controller at BFS until the closure of the base on October 27th - heart-breaking to see the last Shuttle go. However, I am just out of Orange School and now flying as cabin Crew ex BFS for EZY - looks very promising. I flew before, so it's a return rather than a new path. I can recommend it wholeheartedly - a number of ex-BA pals are following soon. Around 70 ops staff affected at BA, I think. Good luck finding another ops post guys.
