but is there any jobs availible at gatwick or london city as dipatch i am 17 and live 20 mins near london

The only way to get into dispatch in BA is through the ranks. Most of the dispatchers i've spoken to started as customer services agents, then on to reservations, possibly senior customer services agents, followed by some back office work (what we call Close-outs), and finally on to dispatch. Mind you, this is over an average of 5-8 years - with the exception of a few dispatchers who already held active CAA dispatchers' licences - good luck.

Unfortunately most handling agents like you to go through the system too as it gives you an idea of problem solving. One did take despatchers direct a couple of years ago but was harder for the redcaps as some areas needed extra training.

If you can work in the industry and work up. If you show aptitude can get there in under 18 months. I did!
