continuous lighting

am flying A321-V2500. Does anyone know why in-flight (phase CLIMB and CRUISE) with a channel of slat fault then ECAM MEMO show IGNITION which means continuous lighting. Why does it happen?
Book says only continuous lightingw when APPR IDLE SELECTED.
I dont know why. pls help me to understand this
