Hi Guys,

Apologies for interrupting the threads. I used to post here a long time ago under a different name.

To give you all a bit of background. I am a current Enroute atco at Shannon atc. I have been an atco for 21 years and been at my ANSP for 28years.

When I am not controlling I am busying studying.

I am a 2nd year student studying for a MSc in Human Factors in Aviation with Coventry University. I am currently looking for volunteers for a scientific study.

The study is entitled

"Exploring presenteeism and burnout among air traffic controllers. Their prevalence, causes of presenteeism in ATC and if there has been an impact on safety"

In brief Presenteeism is the act of attending work in while sick. We hope to ascertain of this is something that atcos are doing, the reasons why they might, if there s a connection to atco burnout and if there has been an effect on atc safety because of it.

The survey is completely anonymous and takes about 15 minutes to complete. As far as we can ascertain it is the first time this reserach is being conducted into atcos and presenteeism.

It is open to any current atco working anywhere in the world except in the EUR and NAT regions. If you meet this criteria i would greatly appreciate you taking the time to complete the survey and passing it on to collueages in your ansps and worldwide.

Ill attach a link below.
Thanks again
HumanFactorsAtco aka Declan
