I have always been impressed with the number of guests looking at the forum - presumably people following links from Google and the like or from other websites. However, for the last few days 'Current Active Users' have been recorded as x members and 0 guests.

Zero!

Some threads which normally receive a lot of views have has almost none. These include discussions that relate directly to current world events and should be of public interest. Why is this? Why has forum become impossible of view without being a logged in member?

The other aircrew forums - Freight Dogs, Rotorheads, Biz jets, Ag Flying, GA etc, and Flying Instructors and Examiners do not have this restriction. Neither do most PPRuNe forums. I did stumble upon some comments about 'off topic forums' and stopping casual access but I think most of the topics discussed here are fairly relevant to the geopolitics and economics of non military aviation.

Hell everyone! New to pprune and have a querie about how something works.

Yesterday, after posting a thread I have now deleted, I received a private message. When I went to look at it, the website informed me that to view my private messages I needed to have at least 3 posts. Bummer, I thought, but oh well, I'll just make three quick posts and be on my way.

When I go to my account and go to "my posts or find all my posts or whatever" I can clearly see the three posts I made. However, on my statistics it says I've only made one post and my pm's are still disabled.

Even stranger, earlier when I tried to make this exact thread asking about this, it told me I was limited to 5 posts per 24 hours, and I wasnt allowed to post this thead. Am I being a half-wit? Or is this a bug?
