Night Shift Pay

I work abroad, for a British company. My company is soon to impose a rotating night/day shift wherein I shall be required to work 1 week of nights per month.
Pay is under negotiation at present, but I would be grateful for any pointers as to how much we should reasonably ask for.
I know at my old company, nightshift pay was in the region of 5 grand, but I'm under the impression that any shift involving both nights and days was worth more, detrimental to health etc..
Any help greatly appreciated.

Working for a Big Airline ( there's a clue in there ) as you can imagine the current renumeration is not what can be described as generous , it can't even be described as adequate.

Working a 4 on 4 off (thats 2 days then 2 nights , 12 hour shifts ) all for the sum of £3,900 per annum .

Get as much as you can, after all its your social life which is going to suffer big time. ;) ;) ;)

We are now classed as a U.K low cost carrier and we pay £4K for permanent nightshift:zzz:

My old work although not Aircraft related paid round about the £5K mark for 4 on 4 off, 2 day 2 night with an 18 day block off after 7 rotations. That 18 days was instead of an allocated 21/25etc days off during the year.

Yes but you guys that work for a big airline usually trap after about three hours. Put it this way that is what the Securicor control room staff tell me.

at our place its about £5k for permenant nights, and in my experience they usually pay less than full nightshift rate if you are doing days/nights.

different

...Different way to get payed. basic salary is crap about 1400 per moths in my pocket before taxes but they pay night shift bonus from 10pm untill 6am + 100pct and sunday + 50pct...so no night night shift means insulting pay....nothing payed for multi-approvals nor license. PS Flying Crews are payed as night flight from 9pm untill 9am....2 worlds...cheers for now
