Converting to Jar 66 from Canada AME
Can anyone tell me if the Canadian AME is accepted at face value or is there a process that has to take place. So far my understanding is that all I have to do is work in the EU for 6 months and then write air regs. Can anyone confirm this for me and if you have done this, let me know how it went and how to do it. I currently hold a Transport Canada AME licence,M2.
And what is B1 and B2 stand for? Thanks for the input. doc  |
Ask the CAA is your best bet.
B1 mechanical B2 avionics |
No, you will get no exemptions and your type course wont be reconised either, you will have to do the lot, have a look at the airmech forum for more info.
B1 is engine, airframe and electrical B2 is avionics The JAR system is not like the canadian system where a CAT 1 and certify for a CAT 38 job, but under this system a CAT 38 can release the A/C. sump oil |
