I have heard a rumour that a well known airline are claiming to industry insiders that they have developed a synthetic carpet that passes ABD0031, doesn't melt or drip or ball, and has better smoke and toxicity figures than wool. Oh, I almost forgot, it doesn't get dirty, doesn't shrink and doesn't wear out between major checks.

Any ideas? Anyone else seen this new miracle carpet that the rest of us would give our spleens to get hold of?

It may not be synthetic, but we use aluminium checker plate. Doesn't ball or drip. Does tend to dribble over 500 degrees, but transfers heat fast enough to make it difficult to achieve this temperature.

BTW PAX love the shiny colour.;)
