Second Hand Hydraulic Rigs
Does anybody know anywhere that sells ex military hydraulic rigs, I am looking for one that is capable of handling a Buccaneer (about 3000 psi ).
|
Try Trade a Plane. or EBay. They seem to sell anything.

We have bought some Ex-Mil gear from a company in Lincolnshire ( i think). Including Power sets and even an MF50 Tow tug (pope-mobile). I'll get an address and post you next time I pop into work. I believe the Guy who runs the place is an Ex- RAF G.E.F fitter so has lots of experience with this kinda stuff.

Second Hand Hydraulic Rig
We have an ex military hydraulic rig which may be what you are looking for. Unfortunately I only deal with the company's finances so cannot give you much on the technical spec but I understand it is a Mk.12 Hydraulic Rig (DTD585) if that is any help. We are located at Bournemouth Airport and you are welcome to visit and view if you wish.

Give these people a try:
Ground Equipment Supplies Ltd Lincoln England Tel: 01552 778331 Fax: 01522 778468 Like i said earlier, we have bought a few items of ex-mil GE off them now. |
Hyd Rigs
As I remember from my q-abc-a course, the old Bucc' hydraulics run at 4000 psi,
anyway you could also try : AMSS Village Farm Industial Estate Pyle Nr Bridgend Mid-Glamorgan |
bUCCANEER
The buccaneer has two systems, one at 4000 psi, and the other
at 3300 psi. |
Why on earth would you have two hyd systems at different pressures. Did they not use a twin hyd system like the tonka. Was there any back up should one system fail? apart from accumulators and the such.
Dont get a mk 11 hyd rig, you will spend more money cleaning the hyd fluid of the floor than what you put into the system. Even the lads who fix them say they are crap. |
Buccaneer hydraulic system
One system is used to operate the flying controls,3300 psi.
The other system operates the services, 4000psi. The flying controls system comprises two independent systems which operate at 3300 psi, while the services system comprises two systems which combine and operate at 4000 psi. The service system supplies fluid pressure for both normal and emergency operation of its services,to cater for certain emergencies the services can supply the flying controls system at 3300 psi |
Does anyone know of a hyd rig manufacturer called sun if so, is there a UK agent.
