BA G-ZZZ? 777 Makeover

I flew out to BAH a couple of weeks ago on the same plane as I did in early December - ZZZD. In that time someone has waved the magic wand, and the Club cabin has been "21st Centuried".

A few questions ...

I thought that BA were trying to get rid of these A Market 777's. Why the change of plan?

How long does this cabin overhaul take to do?

How has this changed the configuration of these 777's? Coming back from BAH last weekend, the plane was rammed with not a single seat free. It's normally busy, but this was standing room only.

All flights to Bahrain are now with the 21st Century cabin - this has been announced in local rag.

However, I don't think you were on ZD - both it and ZE are now with a new operator:

As for standing room only, as of March 30 BA will introduce 747-400s on the 124/125. These will be in the high yield config with the same number of premium seats as the 777 but more economy (and world traveller plus).
