Current LWTR Questions
Had my oral yesterday afternoon. It took 1.5 hours and in the end I came away with my License.
I am at work at the moment but will try to post the questions I was asked later. Just some tips for any who will be doing it soon. Make sure you are up to grips with Module 13 (Human Resources) apparently they have to ask questions on it now, where as before it was their choice. I was only asked two questions on props (stations and forces acting on a prop (of which there are 6). He saw I was ready to do battle on props so he left it there. About 5 minutes on Gas Turbines - once again I was ready for battle. Half of the oral was spent on airframes (Modules 2,3,4) and we went over lubrication precautions, brakes units and fault finding, airframe construction (and a little bit on wing construction), how a wing generates lift (I went into both bernoulli's and newton's here), flaps and slats (even though slats are mainly aeroplanes 2 and I was doing aeroplanes 1), damage on wooden aircraft  (I must admit I hadn't expected that but I was able to answer the questions even though I hadn't done anything on wood in 3 years), oxygen systems, hydraulic systems and pressurisation. Air leg was basically 5 minutes and I was questioned on MAMIS, A & B Conditions and ADs. Started at 2:30 ended at 4pm. Now to find a good job :D pAnmAn |
Well Done!
Congratulations!
I hope you have as good a time in aviation as I have over the last 30 odd years!! And I'm still an aerosexual. Best of luck |
