Piper Pa-32-260 Cherokee Six
 
We are looking at purchasing a PIPER PA-32-260 CHEROKEE SIX single light aircraft for long range touring. Does anyone have any experience on this aircraft, recommendations or advice on purchasing this type ? Any pitfalls with the Cherokee Six ?

The spec of the aircraft is as follows:
YEAR 1965
HOURS AIRFRAME 2012 HOURS SINCE NEW
ENGINE 1078 HOURS SMOH
PROPELLER 55 HOURS SOH
ENGINE TYPE LYCOMING 260 HP O-540-E4B5 (2000 TBO + Extn)
PROPELLER TYPE HARTZELL 2 BLADE CONSTANT SPEED

Have no facts and figures to back this up but perhaps someone does.The Cherokee Six seems to be the one more mentioned than others in light aircraft crash reports.Maybe I'm wrong.Maybe it's harder or different to fly,especially in emergencies.

It's easy to overload. A lot of operators have tried full load and full fuel. Otherwise just another Cherokee. Look at the spars and look for corrosion.
