Am I on the right track to obtain an AME license (EASA)?
 

Hi all,

I'm a junior year mechanical engineering undergraduate student from India. I have decided to pursue aircraft maintenance as a career and started preparing for the Part-66 examinations by self-study.

What I want to know is if clearing these exams alone would make me eligible to get hired by an EASA approved Part-145 MRO.

From given regulations by EASA, a person has to demonstrate five years of experience if there is no previous involvement and experience within the field (including those not enrolled at a Part-147 training organization). I wanted to know how anyone would hire a person with no experience. Do you have any tips? If yes, please share.

For a better picture, let me tell you about my plan:
> Study for and clear the modules (13 for B1.1) in a year or more
> Meanwhile, apply for a part-time job for a similar/related role
> Apply for a job at a Part-145 approved MRO after clearing the modules
> Gain experience of 5 or more years
> Apply for AME license

Please tell me if this is a valid path. If not, kindly suggest an alternate and appropriate path or additional steps I might need to follow.
