salary

Good afternoon,

I'm currently applying for an unlicensed mechanic job with an airline in the UK, however on the advert there is no mention of salary.

What is a 'ballpark' figure for an entry level unlicensed mech?

Also I'm hoping to become a B licensed engineer in time, what is the rough starting salary for this position?

It certainly won't be as much as the people you will be working alongside whilst doing the same job.

'Airmech' has a salary survey. Try there!

The airmech salary survey is years out of date but may give a clue of what was paid two years back.

For a hangar Unlicensed Mech/Fitter, the average salary depending on it being GA or commercial will be in the region of £17,000 to £23,000. Shift allowance may alter slightly. Then on gaining your B licence it could be once again depending if it's GA or commercial be from £35,000 up to £52,000. You will find line maintenance pays slightly higher. But the £52,000 is going on having multiple types and a shift premium.
