salary
Good afternoon,
I'm currently applying for an unlicensed mechanic job with an airline in the UK, however on the advert there is no mention of salary. What is a 'ballpark' figure for an entry level unlicensed mech? Also I'm hoping to become a B licensed engineer in time, what is the rough starting salary for this position? T_B |
It certainly won't be as much as the people you will be working alongside whilst doing the same job.
'Airmech' has a salary survey. Try there! |
The airmech salary survey is years out of date but may give a clue of what was paid two years back.

So it will be less now then ?:E
20-23k depending |
For a hangar Unlicensed Mech/Fitter, the average salary depending on it being GA or commercial will be in the region of £17,000 to £23,000. Shift allowance may alter slightly. Then on gaining your B licence it could be once again depending if it's GA or commercial be from £35,000 up to £52,000. You will find line maintenance pays slightly higher. But the £52,000 is going on having multiple types and a shift premium.
