Messier Liquide vert ?
Hi All
Has anybody come across a Hydraulic Fluid "Messier Liquide vert" used in 1950's Hydraulic Shock struts (light aircraft) with a view to finding a modern equivalent. The description "Messier Liquide vert" comes from the drawings. I have e-mailed Messier for advice (Both UK and France) but have had no reply plus of course Google. Has anybody come across this fluid or a specification? My original thoughts were a 585 mineral fluid but the sample from the strut was considerably more viscous - more like a engine oil. Some Citroens possible used this in the suspension. Any thoughts or directions would be appreciated. Many Thanks M.E. |
I wonder if this is castor-oil based hydraulic fluid similar to Lockheed 22. I may have some information on it (if I can remember where).
