Frequency of overhaul of B744 Outflow valve
 

Can anyone please tell me how frequency an Outflow valve needs to be removed or components overhauled.
Is it scheduled in C, D checks?


""The outflow valve assembly in this case has accumulated over 100,000 flight hours since delivery on [the plane] and has never been removed prior to this event. As a follow-up to this we are removing all units [six affected] with [more than] 90,000 flight hours for condition check and reconditioning at workshop.""

I believe the valve itself is " on condition " and that is just what it says. The AC/DC motors however would be on a maintenance schedule. What that is you'll have to get from someone a lot younger than me.:8

Yes, change is "on condition".
But MPD 21-031-01 order a operational check every 7500 FH.
