Can an aircraft be flown (single or multi engne) any number of hours/year as along as it is serviced after certain hourly cycle?????

Can 3000hrs be flown in one aircraft in a year?????

In short, yes...

There are several checks that are carried out on a cycle, hour and calendar limit, whichever comes first, so obviously your cycle limit will be hit first...

To clarify, there are three limits that an aircraft work to

Cycle:
One take off and landing

Hour:
Actual hours flying

Calendar:
Calendar days

You can have 3000 flights of half an hour each. This would leave you at 3000 cycles, but at 1500 hours... and so on...

Longhaul aircraft can average 13/14 hours flying a day (4745 to 5110 hours a year)

You may find some airlines can manage more hours utilisation than that!

As long as all the maintenance checks are done at the right times(50 hours/150 hours/annual for planes on the LAMS schedule) you can fly as many hours as you like, so long as the weather`s good enough!

Our PA 28's and C152's used to regularly attain 1000 hours a year. These days they do not do as many though, but still will be doing about 500 Hrs.

On the PA28 flying over 40 hrs a month extends the Engine TBO by 200 hrs.
