ESD Help

Hi,

Avionics assistance needed. Here is the question....

I have a component removed from an aircraft, it is ESD sensitive. I have run out of the 'approved' ESD blanking plugs.

What is my solution? Can I use cardboard and ESD tape?

If I can what regulation tells me this is an allowable alternative.

If I can not what can I do?

Thanks.

I believe you can use a conductive spray film on the standard plastic caps to make then ESDS capable. Do not know off hand what the spray is.
Cardboard should be OK if it were double sided enclosed with ESD tape.
