Corrosion - Rules & Regs - HELP!
 

Gents, I am trying to find out something about corrosion for a university assignment.

1) I need to find out about the Rules and Reg’s laid down by EASA/JAR or manufactures relating to corrosion processes affecting structures.

2) I need to refer to environmental and metal dependent factors in relation to pit, inter-granular, stress, cracking and corrosion fatigue.

I have had a quick spin through the EASA CAA and JAAT web sites but don’t really know where to go with in these. :ugh:

Try a google search for "aircraft corrosion"
Try going to the CAA site and carry out a search and enter "corrosion"
Some basics in CAP562. Always good for general aviation knowledge.
Repairs would normally be in the aircraft specific Structural Repair Manual. Inspection for corrosion maybe found in type specific Ageing Aircraft Programme task cards.
