B1900D rear spar cracks
 

just had an emergency AD come in tonight - all B1900D's are to be inspected within 72 hours for serious cracking on the rear spar, just outboard of the nacelle. Any ideas where it originated? 2 aircraft apparantly had 17500hrs on them when cracks were found.

yeah seen all that - done the inspections. was just interested to know where it originated.

From the FAA, but I don't know what aircraft / incident / inspection / etc was the origin of the AD.
