recently saw an addvert for gamco in Abu-Dhabi/UAE was after info on pay/conditions of employment and for familys what is it like to live there with a young family or do you leave them home,
any info would be helpfull

Been there done that, got the t-shirt - (for 6 months or so).

There's a substantial expat community with good schools & other institutions popular with westerners. I worked with Brits, French, Canadians, Pakis, Philippinos & Indians who got along quite well. Boating is popular on the Gulf.

Wouldn't hesitate to go back -- with the right terms. Just get the visa / drivers license etc. routine WELL understood before you go.
