despite opinions regarding the status and future of FLS, that company may well consider apprenticeships from mature applicants. Some FLS apps were certainly on the mature side at commencement although they had previous eng experience. Give them a try and good luck. Sorry to hear about ClassI

SNA - there are a few Colleges of FE and specialist colleges offering course for mature students. BTEC, HNC, HND etc. Where are you based?
Barry College @ CWL have a specialist site near BAMC. They trade as CAMT. Give them a call. ------------------ Bus429 - the pilot's pal! |
I also believe Monarch are starting out vocational training for engineers. Could possibly be worth a look!!!
All the best in your search. |
Give Manx BRAL a call, they are always on the look out for engs and fitters at Fraggle Rock or at GLA and they are carrying out some in house licence training.
It's never too late, I know people who started engineering when they left the old Dan Air @ MAN Cheery bye |
I didn't enter the industry until I was 39! I did 2.5 years in college (Brunel) and straight into an inspector supervisor job with a fistful of licences. Ageism encountered nowhere.
