BCAR to JAR66 conversion course's
I am looking for companys that carry out BCAR to JAR66 conversion training (NOT distant learning!!)
I have been "recommended" Air Training Services in Perth Scotland Has anybody any comments to make about there training?? ie Pass rates/notes/accomodation etc Thanks in advance for any replys. .Mutley7 <img src="wink.gif" border="0"> |
Courses are available at Kidlington in Oxfordshire, it is also a designated CAA exam venue. I did my A & C with them, passed both on first attempt, hope this course is as good.

If you are intending to add electrics to A & C, I would recommend Perth, it is hard work but the pass rate is high

I would have no reason to tell fibs about my exams with our friends at the CAA or the quality of training provided at Kidlington. I can vouch for Denzil he definitely passed his A+C on the first attempt. I think the X failure probably had something to do with him trying to beat the Section L deadline. Am I right Denzil?

To be a liar, I would have to tell lies! Is a person who fails an exam (a CAA one at that) a loser? You obviously pass every exam first time? Max Motor, you are correct, self study in a trade in which I have had no "in depth" training (like most A & C guys + gals) was the reason. If you are multi X and want to convert to B2, CSE do a very good course on helicopter autopilots. Their training in heli theory of flight is also quite interesting. They have some very useful training aids in the hangar.
Although, why I need to pass an exam on helicopters when I have never worked on one, nor ever will, is quite beyond me?!!! |
Beats me why any of us should even join this ridiculous stupidity of 66 in the first place...surely if we ALL dont pay our hard earned dosh and no one gets the ticket they will have to do something? Why should I pay out to retrain in the basics in the middle of my chosen (career). Beats me how we ever let this happen in the first place. I for one will not be helping to keep the residents of the Belgrano in the state that they have become accostomed to on my hard earned cash.

They even have some (basic) accommodation on site at not too bad a rate. The impressive thing is that they even have a bar for those night time head-to-heads over a beer. Not heard any bad reports so far. |
