We do it have done so for years....bi-annual simulator check on Eng Run as well...yes it is well worth it.

It is beginning to look like Bristows is the only company that cannot be bothered to address the subject of continuation training for their engineers.

Anyone care to comment?

I may be one of the few people who takes the Engineering Council seriously within the aeronautical profession, but the EngC made it very clear when I became Chartered that anything less than a full week of relevant CT (they call it CPD - Continuous Professional Development) per year could be grounds for removal of my qualifications. I've always assumed that this applied to me, it applies to anybody working for me as well.

I know nothing about Bristows, but most places I've worked have similar views.
