Vacuum pumps

i am looking for information on the mass flow rates of vacuum pumps that would be typicaly fitted to light aircraft. and also (or instead of) the amount of flow that would be required to reliably run a typical A.I. in a light aircraft. or if anyone knows of a good place to find the answers to these questions i would greatly appreciate it.

Do not know about flow rates....

But most light aircraft have a vacuum system that works best with 4.5' to 5.5' of suction.
Hope it helps..:O

i managed to get hold of a spec sheet for an A.I. that quoted 1.2 cubic ft/min. does that sound about right? it doesnt seem like an awful lot of flow to spin a gyro up to speed!
any help on this really would be greatly appreciated as it is a major part of my college course (plus i think its about the only original idea i have ever had:= )
