Retraction of Slats and Flaps after parking A320

Why do we retract slats and flaps afterparking the aircraft although the temperature outside more than 30 degrees C

Makes access to the aircraft a lot easier for the ground handling guys (refuelling, catering etc.)
Also helps avoid unwanted damage to the aircraft.
