Ryanair "Intern" offer
While trawling for something else, I came across an advert placed by Ryanair which at first sight seems to be (a) deeply cynical exploitation and (b) against the law in UK. Training Assistant? Really?
That JD looks to me as though the idea is to find some sucker, call the sucker "Assistant" to justify low pay, and then tell the sucker to run the training department, on account of that's what the JD says. And there's no mention of any remuneration; at best that's so they can squeeze the said sucker down to minimum wage or less, at worst the use (misuse) of the word "Intern" means no remuneration at all. |
Exactly what about that advert breaks any laws, no salary mentioned is standard for a lot of positions advertised. Trying to make something out of nothing.
