BSI engine during rain

My collegues say BSI V2500 must not perform out-door particularly when dark clouds around. I dont think so but have no any documents to prove that thinking.
I think engine even T/R opened still protects well from water provided stationary. BSI can be done provided BSI equipment and BSI ports and harnesses are sealed.
Anyone please help me this problem, and also the document for evidence?
Thanks so much!
:ugh:

Can't help with a V2500, but there's certainly no such restriction on the CFM56.

I performed a BSI last week with the water bouncing off the ground around me.

tks Dougie for the practice. Does CFM say sth about BSI is allowable during rain in the document?
and anyone else please help me the document pls!

I've heard this stated a few times but have never seen it printed. I'm inclined to think that it is a 'rule' largely invented by certs who want the task deadline extended because they don't fancy doing it out in the rain!
