Type course validity

If I'm not mistaken, under EASA, upon completion of an approved type course, you have to get type rated within 2 years.

What happens if you exceed 2 years and still did not get a type rating?
Do the whole course again including practical / structured practical training?

Any documents from CAA or any authority regarding this?

Start again .. or ask the company that you did the course with if you can do a re-sit..Best of luck..

It might depend on when you did the course. At one point type courses had a ten year validity (I believe). I have the same issue and I believe that at the time I passed the course it was valid for 10. Time will tell!!!!

Yes three years unless you started your course before they changed the ruling, then you have three years from the date the new rule came into force, which is about now I think.
