Where to get OJT for 1st type rating
Hi Chaps! Anyone know where to get the Airbus 320 OJT for 1st type rating endorsement? I am working outside of europe at the moment and the worst thing is I am holding CAA-UK AML, they only accept OJT within UK.

I can only advise on knowledge that I have but to my understanding you will need to work within EASA 145 whilst completing the OJT, this OJT will be recorded in a specific OJT booklet produced by the company or training organisation and approved by CAA. You will have to complete min 50% of each ATA chapters' tasks with a good spread of work. I believe there to be a min amount of time to complete the book (6 months?) check the regs. I know Connies who have had to go Permy so they can get this out of the way, so it looks as though it could cause problems for many working outside easa. Whilst not directly answering answering the question of where, maybe this info will better guide to who to approach. I know BA, TCX, Mon all have approved OJT books for 320 |

You should aim to complete a 100% of the OJT logbook the CAA will verify the MINIMIUM of at least 50%. All applicable ata chapters will require content. OJT should have a compliance report with it detailing how the OJT meet the requirements of part 66 regarding the OJT. On submission include both logbook/worksheets AND the compliance report There is no requirement to work for the 145 delivering the OJT Part 66 Appendix III section 6 (b) content. copied below 6. On the Job Training On the Job Training (OJT) shall be approved by the competent authority who has issued the licence. It shall be conducted at and under the control of a maintenance organisation appropriately approved for the maintenance of the particular aircraft type and shall be assessed by designated assessors appropriately qualified. It shall have been started and completed within the 3 years preceding the application for a type rating endorsement. (a) Objective: The objective of OJT is to gain the required competence and experience in performing safe maintenance. (b) Content: OJT shall cover a cross section of tasks acceptable to the competent authority. The OJT tasks to be completed shall be representative of the aircraft and systems both in complexity and in the technical input required to complete that task. While relatively simple tasks may be included, other more complex maintenance tasks shall also be incorporated and undertaken as appropriate to the aircraft type. Each task shall be signed off by the student and countersigned by a designated supervisor. The tasks listed shall refer to an actual job card/work sheet, etc. The final assessment of the completed OJT is mandatory and shall be performed by a designated assessor appropriately qualified. The following data shall be addressed on the OJT worksheets/logbook: 1. Name of Trainee; 2. Date of Birth; 3. Approved Maintenance Organisation; 4. Location; 5. Name of supervisor(s) and assessor, (including licence number if applicable); 6. Date of task completion; 7. Description of task and job card/work order/tech log, etc.; 8. Aircraft type and aircraft registration; 9. Aircraft rating applied for. In order to facilitate the verification by the competent authority, demonstration of the OJT shall consist of (i) detailed worksheets/logbook and (ii) a compliance report demonstrating how the OJT meets the requirement of this Part. I need some guidance on how to get ojt for 1st type on easa b1 lic. I work in middle east. Is there any way I can take to get type endorsed while working in foreign easa approved amo ?????????????????? As per easa req. structured ojt has to be approved by authority who issued part 66 lic. as per my deep research there is no amo in this region where ojt is approved in there MOE sec 3.15..... Does any one know and can recommend me a way...... if i come in UK and do course and ojt on my expenses...will it be fine or there issues may come with QM of 145 company, Since im not UK resident will QM forward my form 19 for type endorsement..???????????????????? or is there any other better way...???? Please suggest me.... got stuck with situation since long time....:ugh: Your valuable suggestions are much appreciated... |

Since I work outside of UK , anyone know who is offering AW 139 OJT course required for first type rating for CAA UK license. |
I am still trying to complete my OJT in a regional airline. It is a nightmare to do so. I have seen one type course certs go up in smoke with the 3 year currency rule.

I would suggest everyone to endorse ASAP. Regulations are going to change soon and it would effect a lot of you
