Non EASA type conversion to EASA type

Hello Ladies and Gents

I hold a an EASA part 66 license with 3 types on it I also hold a SACAA license with several types on it is anyone aware of any training organization that offer conversion courses from non EASA type courses to EASA type courses (B747-400, A340)

middle east and HK engineers have been through this battle with the CAA . The answer is full type course. Bunch of us had the crazy situation with being able to certify EU registered types under companies CAA issued 145 approval , but couldnt put it on our EASA licences. And we were certifying 3 EU flag carriers a/c. We got as far as proving we had the same course content as the course after 147 issued but still no ! So one of my widebodies i have been certifying for 18 years now , but no Easa without a full course again . Good luck !

Thanks Mate that seems to be the only answer

This is the crux of our profession. Engineers with 20 years experience, cannot certify because of no PART 147 courses. Newbies with type endorsement should not certify because of no experience.

bvcu is right, only full course.

Keep'em up flying gents.
