Australian Visa Skills Assessment

I would like to apply to Oz for permanent residency. The first hoop I need to jump though is the skills assessment for my trade as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer(Mechanical)

Victoria university seems to be the only place that does skills assessments for this trade.

One of their requirements is a logbook showing ones experience.
I don't have one and never have. One of the joys of African aviation when I was an appy was there was no mandatory requirement for AME's to keep a log book.

Has anyone had recent experience with Vic Uni and how sticky are they?
How would anyone suggest I go about building some form of experience record that would please them?

Thanks

I would imagine that any TAFE or Polytechnic would be able to assess your AME experience. Give them a try, as they are the institutions that train AMEs in Australia and not Universities. Good luck.

Any TAFE can do it. There is one at PERTH (Jandakot) Adelaide (Parafield) Melbourne (Broadmedows) Sydney (Padstow) Brisbane (Aviation Australia)
