A330 Pitot probes
 

With the AF447 in the news again, I was wonder if anyone knows what exactly was the required change to the newer probes (sensors)? All this talk about super cooled water freezing on contact with the metal probes. Did the new probes have an increase in heating temperature? What improvements were made on the new vs old?
