Bonded metal structures

Has anyone got some good generic information on bonded metal structures or possibly point me towards a text that may have something in it?

the comet had some areas that where redux bonded, i guess the technology was sharp in its day but mid eighties? it was crap and as a mech working on these a/c on any b check you would find bits coming apart so now its a case of simply riveting it back together

so i guess if you goggle redux it may help

oh i nearly forgot if you want to break a reduxed joint dump dry ice all over it - job done
