UK CAA Licence Application
 

Hey Guys, bit of advice needed!

I am being put under a little bit of pressure by my boss to get my Licence application underway. Have a slight problem in the sense that ihavent updated my log book for a while and am about to catch up with it! just wandering if the jobs i have done need to be in chronolgical order for the CAA to review or can i just write down all the jobs I have done and get the log book off asap and not traul through all the past job cards and work orders and put in date order?

Well you'll make it easier on the CAA going over your case history with regards to tasks completed and aircraft and so on, but when i applied for my licence a while back some of the jobs listed were not listed in date order, i did speak to a surveyor who advised me it is good practice to keep everything in order as it is easier to follow an individuals progress, but that said, it's not the end of the world if you have'nt listed it all in date order, but i would send in a CV with the log book just to give them a quick appraisal of what you have been doing.

When it comes too a type rating everything should ideally be listed chronologically and in ATA Format, is it avoids being rejected at the first stage,this was learnt from experience.

I'm not going for a type any time soon. They want me to have my A privileges so i can be sent to bases to cover basic daily maintenance but i am close to having enough experience for my B1 so will apply for that.

I do have it sorted in ATA chapters. I'll take a few hours on my next shift if i can to sort it out as best as i can.

A bit hard to get certifiers to stamp it at home isn't it??:confused::confused::E

I can write up the jobs at home no problem and get the stamps in work.

No issues there!
