767 main doors are always a concern - gags on anytime i'm near them regardless of the state of the lowering handle.

I'd like to know how this happened on the A320 too, I always thought if the handle was down and pinned then the doors wouldn't close. :(

yup

I was actually thinking of the same thing ... if the handle was pinned, then i dont think there would be any accidents.

deep condolence to the bereaved.

I just checked on the A320 AMM the landing gear doors ground operation procedure and there doesn't seem to be anything out of ordinary about it:S I have no idea how would it close on it's own when the handle is down and pinned.
And did the MLG doors close aswell at that time or its just the NLG?
Further info would be greatly appreciated!
