License Examination Venues

Hi There!

Im currently looking for a list of venues that hold examinations for A1.1 license, dont mind travelling..

I have tried to find Oxfords website aswell as Bristol Ground school, But to no avail or any deep information..

I live near Cardiff, But Barry College is not an option, therefore would liek to travel further afield.

Thanks very much

Have a look at the first link on this page, good luck with the exams :ok:

Part-66 Exams | Personnel Licensing | Safety Regulation

This one also gives all the approved schools although some are airlines and don't accept outsiders for exams

Lufthansa Resource run short courses with the exams in Cwmbran. But don't think you can just sit exams without doing a course first.

Bostonair Technical Training run short A Licence courses and exams, as well as "Blended" (home study plus exam weekends) in Bristol.

They recently got their Part 147 appro for Cat A Basic Theory and Practical, so won't show on any CAA list yet.

Don't forget there's a Practical element to be done and signed off.

Hi There!

Thanks very much for the replies.

I have been in contact with most of them and they appear to run short courses...

Does anyone know of one that just operates the examination?

Thanks

Bostonair would probably set up 1:1 Cat A exams on request, pricey but you could be surprised, or fit you in on exams in the future, less much pricey but it would take a long time to collect them all.

As PhilM says, don't over-estimate your chances of passing if you just walk in to take an exam without at least some intensive preparation with the institution concerned.
